Frequently Asked Questions
Some of the candles look like glass or porcelain, what are they made of?
Besides the wick, all of the carved candles and unity candles are 100% wax with a protective glaze covering.
Since these candles are made entirely of wax, how well do they ship?
Most of our business is done through mail order. In fact, we have now shipped to customers in 13 different countries. These include most European countries, several in South East Asia, and even New Zealand. When we got started, we knew this is where most of our business would come from. We tested with several different packaging methods to insure our products arrived at your doorstep in the same condition as when they left our shop.
So you must use some kind of mold to make the basic shape and then paint on the different colors later?
I wish it was that easy. Each candle starts out as a six sided core that we make. The core then goes through a series of dipping in hot colored wax's to build up the layers of colors. After all of the layers are applied, the candle is still very warm and you can cut and manipulate the wax into many different shapes. When you cut into the core it exposes the colors that you previously dipped onto the core.
I don't want to ruin the candle buy burning it, is there something I can do?
Yes, we can drill out the top of the candle, then place a small oil lamp inside. We also carry the oil to replenish the lamps. Another option that we offer is to place a tea light into the top of the candle.
Do you sell candle making supplies?
Yes, we sell wax, wick, additives, scents, colors, and jars. They can all be found on our wax supplies page.
